Andrew Stock
Born 1960
Andrew Stock
Andrew Stock has been painting full time since leaving Sherborne School in 1978. Personally encouraged by the late Sir peter Scott, he held his first one man show at the Malcolm Innes gallery, London in 1981. He has subsequently held many shows in London and abroad.

Andrew was elected a member of the Society of Wildlife Artists (SWLA) in 1983 and is now the President of the SWLA.

Andrew is also a printmaker and in 2001 was elected an Associate of the Royal Society of Painter Printmakers (RE). Having served on the RE council, Andrew was elected a Fellow of the society in 2005.

“I simply enjoy being outside, usually in more remote and beautiful places: whether or not I am there to paint (I may be walking, running, lobster potting or sailing) I am always looking and with my art work I attempt to recapture some of the more magical moments I am lucky enough to have witnessed. This may include the drama of restless seas, magnificent Himalayan panoramas or bleak Hebridian landscapes. And usually, though not always, there is a glimpse of wildlife to be found within such pictures.”
